Before you start searching for a Mentor, our advice would be:

  1. Be CLEAR in what it is you want to achieve as a Mortgage & Finance Broker and what help you think you will need to get there
  2. Be CERTAIN that you have the time and energy required, both now and consistently, to devote to building broking career?
  3. Know WHERE will your home loan business come from? WHO will you call first?
  4. Remember if this is your first time being self-employed, you are no different to any other new business starting out for whom the risk of failure is high. How keen are your business and promotional skills? Will you need specialist mentoring skills to help you?
